Tom Gottshall is a trial lawyer engaged in environmental and products liability (medical device, machinery, pharmaceutical and toxic tort) issues.
He has served as chair of the Products Committee of the Trial Torts & Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Gottshall is a speaker on products liability and environmental litigation issues and author of the monograph “Protecting the Corporate Executive from Deposition.”
Mr. Gottshall is active in many parts of the Columbia community. He is a long-time board member and immediate past president of the South Carolina Philharmonic and is a member of the board of the S.C. Humanities Council. He is also an advisory board member for the Atlantic Legal Foundation and chairman of the Yale Schools Committee for central South Carolina. Reflecting his lifelong interest in history, Mr. Gottshall frequently speaks to groups on historical topics.
