Mr. Wallace was recently honored as the 2011 Lawyer of the Year in Trusts & Estates by U.S. News Best Lawyers. His notable career includes acting as Partner and team leader of the Trusts & Estates practice group at King & Spalding for over 40 years before becoming a co-founder of Wallace, Morrison & Casteel.
John has served as President of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and is a current Fellow and Committee Member. He served as Chair of the Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law of the American Bar Association and Chair of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council. John also acted as Chair of the Fiduciary Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
In 2005, John received the Verner F. Chaffin Career Service Award in recognition of a distinguished career of outstanding, unselfish and dedicated service to the Fiduciary Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, its members and the citizens of Georgia. He is also recognized as one of Georgia’s "Legal Elite" by Georgia Trend magazine and as a Georgia "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine.
