Mr. Koestler has developed a national reputation in the handling of immigration law matters in the areas of advertising, theater and film (including representing numerous Tony Award and Academy Award winners).
He served as the 2003–2004 chair of the 1,000-member American Immigration Lawyers Association’s New York Chapter, and was also a member of AILA’s Board of Governors. He currently serves as an AILA mentor for extraordinary ability cases (2003 - present), and previously served as a member of AILA's Customs and Border Protection Liaison and Advocacy Committee (2005-7). Mr. Koestler has lectured on a number of different business immigration topics at AILA's regional and national conferences.
Mr. Koestler who is listed in, The International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers, Chambers Global – TheWorld's Leading Lawyers for Business, Chambers USA – America’s Leading Business Lawyers and New York Super Lawyers, has authored and co-authored a number of articles, including: “Agencies Face a Visa Crunch,” Advertising Age, October 13, 2003, page 22; “B-1/B-2 Myths and Realities,” Immigration & Nationality Law Handbook (2004- 2005 Edition), Volume 2; and “Travel During and After a Port,” Sixth Annual AILA New York Chapter Immigration Law Symposium Handbook. He has also been quoted in a number of newspapers and periodicals, including New York Magazine, The New York Law Journal, The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel and Daily Variety.
