Vi D. Nguyen is a Partner at IslerDare PC. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Vi practiced for seven years at Hogan Lovells US LLP in Washington, D.C., where she specialized in employee benefits and executive compensation, as well as corporate & securities.
Vi counsels publicly traded and private company clients in areas of employee benefits and executive compensation for compliance with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. She has extensive experience with tax-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, and equity compensation plans, including employee stock purchase plans, stock option plans, stock appreciation rights, and synthetic (phantom) equity arrangements. Vi prepares executive employment agreements, separation agreements, change in control agreements, severance plans and consulting agreements. She also has expertise with employee benefits matters arising in the context of mergers and acquisitions, including the negotiation and drafting of stock and asset purchase agreements and golden parachute tax issues.
