Timothy V. Fisher’s practice focuses on patent prosecution and client counseling in the areas of electronics and software. His work encompasses diverse technological disciplines, including computer networks, instrumentation, computer and mobile device hardware, digital health, data security and medical device electronics. Timothy represents clients of all sizes, from early-stage startups to established technology leaders. He currently serves as co-chair of the Patent Office Practice Committee of the Boston Patent Law Association.
Timothy is experienced in district court litigation including trial and post grant review before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Prior to law school, he worked as an electrical engineer, developing analog and radio frequency electronics for mass spectrometers, magnetic resonance imaging systems and communications subsystems.
While in law school, Timothy served as editor-in-chief of the Hastings Science & Technology Law Journal. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering.
