Born and raised in northern Wyoming, and educated at Eastern Montana College and Harvard Law School, Tom Singer has been resolving civil and commercial disputes for businesses, governments, and individuals for 30 years. He is one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in Product Liability Litigation, is a “Super Lawyer” in Business Litigation, is rated “AV” for legal ability and ethics by Martindale-Hubbell, and is a Fellow in Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society that represents less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.
Tom has served on the faculty for the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy, Gonzaga Law School, and Rocky Mountain College, and is a regular speaker at seminars for ALFA International, the State Bar of Montana’s Professional Committee, and others on topics such as legal ethics, employment law, restraints on competition, product liability, civil procedure, and trial skills. Tom also has written a number of articles for law reviews and bar journals.
Tom serves on the boards of the Northwest College Alumni Association and the Riverstone Health Clinic. He is a former director of Billings Depot, Inc., Billings Preservation Society, Red Lodge Music Festival, NAMI-Billings, Tumbleweed Runaway Program, Billings Studio Theatre, and Billings Symphony Orchestra & Chorale.
Tom relaxes by reading, hiking, riding bikes, paddling rivers, acting in community theatre productions, playing guitar, and singing with the Billings Symphony Chorale and the High Plains Chamber Singers. He lives in Billings with his wife, Evey LaMont, a certified transition and retirement coach. They have four grown children and two grandchildren.
