Richard L. Allen, Jr. is a partner in the Orlando office of Haliczer Pettis & Schwamm. For more than 40 years, Rick has represented clients in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice and professional/legal malpractice.
Rick previously worked as a hospital pharmacist, hospital risk manager, and for an entity owned by the Ohio Hospital Association, where he consulted on Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Claims services for nearly 125 U.S. hospitals. These roles allowed him to gain a better understanding of the inner workings of various health care industries, and a unique perspective when handling medical malpractice cases.
Rick also served as an Assistant to the Professor, at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and as an Adjunct Professor in Pharmacy Law, at the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.
Prior to joining HPS, Rick was a Shareholder at a large firm in Orlando. He is admitted in Florida and Ohio.
