Richard Bezold is the Akerman Real Estate Practice Group Chair. He has more than 30 years of experience representing clients in acquisition, development, and financing of office buildings, medical facilities, shopping centers, senior living facilities, multifamily, industrial, and hotel properties. He has served as the lead real estate attorney on numerous national corporate merger and acquisition transactions including those in the automobile, hospitality, rental car, security, and solid waste industries. His client work has included representing Crocker Partners, The Rockefeller Group, North American Properties, C-III Asset Management LLC, and others in numerous real estate transactions. Richard's broad range of experience includes commercial landlord and tenant representation, public-private partnerships, infrastructure development, distressed loan and property workouts, and analysis of hazardous material contamination for the acquisition, operation, and clean-up of real property. He has also served as the advisory board chairman to the Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of Florida.
