Rebecca Harker Duttry focuses her practice on intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent infringement litigation. She has litigated a broad range of technologies in the biotechnological, pharmaceutical and electrical arts, including cardiac rhythm management devices, therapeutic antibodies, food supplements/vitamins, smartphones and video game consoles. Rebecca has also prepared and prosecuted US patent applications in the pharmaceutical arts. In addition, she maintains an active pro bono practice as an advocate for veterans.
Previously, Rebecca served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable S. Jay Plager of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She has a broad range of litigation experience, including drafting motions, coordinating and conducting discovery, conducting legal research and analysis, preparing witnesses for depositions and trial, taking and defending depositions, working with expert witnesses and other related trial preparation.
While in law school, Rebecca served as a member of the Moot Court Board and participated in the regional round of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Giles S. Rich Moot Court Competition. She also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Chief Judge Paul J. Luckern at the US International Trade Commission, where she gained extensive experience in Section 337 investigations. While earning her bachelor’s degree, Rebecca researched the microwave irradiation of aryl bromides and potassium phenyltrifuoroborate to produce biaryls.
