Randye C. Snyder
is a member of the firm's business section and head of the firm's employee benefits practice. Ms Snyder represents private sector employers, tax-exempt employers and business owners on all aspects of the design, implementation and administration of: employee retirement plans, including pension, profit sharing and 401(k)/403(b)/457 plans; employee health and welfare benefit plans; cafeteria and flexible benefit plans; nonqualified executive compensation plans; and equity based plans. Her practice also involves the counseling of clients on ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and employee benefit tax compliance, and she advises clients on employee benefit issues in mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Snyder received her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1971 and her J.D., summa cum laude, from the Michigan State University College of Law in 1979. She is a member of the American, Louisiana State, and Michigan Bar Associations. Ms Snyder is also an active alumni member of the IRS TE/GE Council - Gulf Coast Area, a joint Internal Revenue Service/practitioner council, and current member of the Association of Employee Benefit Planners of New Orleans. She is a frequent speaker at CLE seminars and employee benefit programs.
