Michael Brenton, founder of the Brenton Law Group, PC in Lansing, Michigan, has a long and successful history of defending workers' compensation and subrogation cases throughout Michigan. Mr. Brenton received a B.A. with High Honors from Michigan State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He represents insurance carriers, third-party administrators, self-insured employers and self-insured funds throughout the state of Michigan and has represented the State of Michigan as a Special Assistant Attorney General since 1994. Mr. Brenton is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Michigan Workers' Compensation Liaison for the Defense Research Institute, a past Chair and officer for the Workers' Compensation Section Council of the State Bar of Michigan, a past adjunct member of the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board, and an elected Fellow in the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers.
Very active in the community, Mr. Brenton has served as President of the Greater Lansing Vintners Club for over 13 years and is a committee member for the Greater Lansing Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Michigan State University Museum fund raising events. He is also the current wine columnist for the Lansing City Pulse Magazine and Vice-President of the Kinlochen Condominium Association Board.
