Mike focuses on litigation involving high exposure and value civil cases involving toxic exposures, motor vehicle accidents, products liability, commercial disputes, labor law claims and construction accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and mass torts and industry-wide litigation. He represents Honeywell International, which named Harris Beach a Go-To Law Firm® for torts litigation in the In-House Law Departments at the Top 500 Companies as published by Corporate Counsel. Mike has conducted several trials to verdict in New York state and federal courts and successful mediations and arbitrations. His catastrophic injury cases involve head and brain injury, paralysis, neurological deficits, cancers of the lung, colon and esophagus, and significant orthopedic trauma. His product liability experience includes cases involving seat belts, industrial presses, automotive engine cooling fans, food processing equipment and toxic substances including asbestos and lead. He has also handled a broad range of complex commercial disputes for companies of various sizes.
Mike’s complex litigation experience includes Daubert and Frye issues where he draws on his knowledge of medical, technical and scientific disciplines including toxicology, epidemiology, oncology, pathology, pulmonology, occupational health, industrial hygiene, accident reconstruction, roadway design, vocational rehabilitation, economics, life care planning and forensics.
