Max Pfenninger Biedermann advises clients on private client matters with a particular focus on taxation and estate planning.
Max has worked on pro bono projects focused on trademark law with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), including drafting response briefs. As an extern at the North Carolina Small Business and Technology Development Center, he provided legal advice on matters involving taxation, shareholder loans, trademarks and various corporate agreements.
While in law school, Max held a judicial externship with Chief Judge Stephani W. Humrickhouse of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina and a judicial internship with the Honorable Ann Marie Calabria of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Max served as the notes and comments editor of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation and received the A. Mark Weisburd Award for Leadership and Commitment to the Journal. He was a quality reviewer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, executive vice president of the UNC Federalist Society, and a member of the Transactional and Corporate Law Society.
