Meg Scoopmire leads the Firm's real estate team. A native of Greenville, she focuses on commercial real estate transactions and commercial real estate finance.
She was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in Chambers USA for Real Estate Law (2016). In 2014, Ms. Scoopmire was inducted as a fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.
In commercial real estate transactions, Ms. Scoopmire helps clients perform due diligence and advises on title, permitting, entitlements, acquisitionor sale documentation, financing (construction and permanent), leasing and disposition.
She has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, deeds, mortgages, commercial leases, ground leases, transmission tower leases, easements, building access agreements and other real estate related documents.
For borrowers and commercial lenders, Ms. Scoopmire advises on all aspects of commercial financing arrangemetns, including asset-based lending, construction financing, real estate financing and equipment financing. She handles the documenting and negotiating of commercial loans, including government-guaranteed loans.
She is a designated attorney for the US Small Business Administration Development Company Loan Program (504).
