Having worked in various industries, from startups to academia, Rachael understands the need to find efficient solutions to complex problems. In her energy practice, Rachael advises project sponsors, investors, and financial institutions in the development, acquisition, and sale of renewable energy projects, including solar energy, hydro, biomass, wind, landfill gas, and anaerobic digestion. She has experience drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements, as well as engineering, procurement, and construction agreements, and supply agreements. Rachael also has specialized experience conducting due diligence on large renewable energy portfolios.
Rachael regularly represents clients in front of the Maine Public Utilities Commission in administrative and adjudicatory proceedings, providing deep regulatory expertise to effectively resolve issues. Rachael also has extensive environmental experience, advising clients on large-scale environmental remediation projects, providing project permitting support, managing environmental compliance issues, and representing clients in front of the state environmental agencies and the federal Environmental Protection Agency.
