Joshua M. Jackson is an experienced family law attorney who works with his clients to develop a strategy tailored to achieving a successful resolution, whether through litigation or a negotiated settlement. Since 2005, Mr. Jackson has focused his practice exclusively on the litigation and negotiation of complex divorce matters, representing clients including public figures, lawyers, business owners, executives, professionals, and their spouses. He has successfully litigated cases to conclusion in both Lake and Cook Counties involving small businesses, executive compensation plans, trusts, and high-conflict custody matters.
Mr. Jackson educates clients about the divorce process and offers a fair and realistic assessment of their case. He believes in working with clients to execute a successful strategy. Clients know a significant amount about their case, and sometimes facts that seem trivial to a client may be extremely important to an underlying legal issue in the divorce proceeding. Mr. Jackson believes clients are an integral part of our team, and their participation can have a significant influence on the outcome of their case.
Mr. Jackson earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He obtained his law degree from the University of DePaul College of Law, where he was also a member of the Brehon Law Society. Mr. Jackson is a member of the Justinian Society, the Lake County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
