John Fischer is a discovery consultant with McDermott Will & Emery, whose focus is on leveraging analytics, identifying creative uses for advanced technology and developing innovative workflows that increase review speed and quality.
As a licensed attorney and an IT professional, John has both the legal and technical experience to provide clear and concise explanations of relevant technologies and to advise on their strategic application during discovery. John uses his skills to develop and implement project plans that are defensible, efficient and cost effective.
John has extensive experience leading teams on large-scale document reviews in addition to managing litigation cases through every stage of discovery. His familiarity with both document review and back-end litigation databases allows him to tailor and optimize workflows which help reduce client spend.
Prior to joining McDermott, John helped to develop eDiscovery best practices and documentation for an AmLaw 200 firm, and oversaw the execution of a firm-wide eDiscovery process training initiative aimed at all litigators and litigation support personnel.
