Joe Miller graduated from William and Mary School of Law in 1987 and went on to work in his father's practice at Miller and Bondurant for the next ten years. There, under the mentor ship of his father, Bernard Miller, a well-known, successful trial attorney, and his partner, Walt Bondurant, another great trial lawyer, Joe honed his advocacy skills representing injured railroad workers under the Federal Employer's Liability Act.
After hundreds of successful cases, settlements, and trials, Joe struck out on his own in 1999, opening his firm Accidental Injury Advocates, which continued to represent railroad workers as well as car accident victims.
As the years passed, the firm gradually returned to the primary focus of helping injured workers and Joe began to take on North Carolina Workers Compensation as well as Virginia Workers Compensation cases.
In 2012 the firm name was changed to Joe Miller Law, with the tag line "Strong Justice."
Joe and the team at Joe Miller Law remain totally committed to the firm's mission, which is to help those whose lives have been disrupted by serious injury restart and reclaim their future.
Joe enjoys religious study, playing and writing music on his guitars, snow skiing, and spending time with his family. Joe is married with two daughters, and an Australian Shepard.
Joe resides with his family in Norfolk, VA.
