Jennifer H. Doan
is a founding partner with HALTOM & DOAN, practicing throughout Texas and Arkansas. Ms. Doan is double board certified in Civil
Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal
Specialization. She has been named among
the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Texas by Thomson Reuters and the Top 250 Women in
Litigation in the United States by Benchmark Litigation. She has chaired the Intellectual Property
Committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel, and serves as Chair
for the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas and was selected as a
charter fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Ms.
Doan is a Legacy Patriot member of the prestigious American Board of Trial
Advocates, serves on the Executive Committee of ABOTA National Board of
Directors, and was former President of the East Texas Chapter. Ms. Doan has served on the faculty of the ABOTA
Trial College at Harvard University and Yale University and previously led the
Plaintiff’s team at the Trial Academy at Stanford University for the
International Association of Defense Counsel.
She is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, Arkansas Bar
Foundation and College of the State Bar of Texas. In 2019 she served on the State Bar of Texas
Annual Meeting Committee. Having practiced over twenty-five years as a trial
lawyer, Ms. Doan has tried cases to verdict in both Texas and Arkansas. She has served as lead trial counsel and
procured complete defense verdicts for large technological companies in patent
cases in the Eastern District of Texas, as well as, served as lead trial
counsel for plaintiffs in complex business matters receiving multimillion
dollar verdicts. She has received a
number of awards and recognitions including being selected as “Litigator of the
Week” by The American Lawyer in 2017, by the Recorder in 2017, and by The Texas
Lawyer in 2012, and selected by Best
Lawyers® each year since 2007, as a Texas Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters
consecutively since 2005, and as Best
Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year for 2013 in Commercial Litigation.
