Routinely described as “powerful” and
“influential” by publications such as the New York Times and Crain’s New York
Business, Jeff S. Korek joined the firm in 1992 as partner and is a key
litigator concentrating his practice on medical malpractice and construction
accidents. Known for his aggressive style, Jeff has a history of successful
litigation and settlements during his tenure at the firm.
Jeff received his BA from the State University of New York in Binghamton,
NY and received his JD from Hofstra University School of Law. Upon graduation, Jeff started his law career
with humble beginnings as a clerk for the Law Offices of F. Lee Bailey &
Aaron J. Broder in New York City.
Through his commitment, dedication, and hard work, he was admitted to
the New York and New Jersey State bars, as well as the U.S. District Courts,
Southern District and Eastern District of New York in 1986. His passion for obtaining justice for his
clients grew while holding the position of Senior Trial Attorney for law firms
Weitz & Luxenberg and Leahey & Johnson before he took his current
position as partner at Gersowitz, Libo, and Korek, P.C. in 1992.
Jeff’s passion for seeking justice for those who have met
untimely accidents is matched by his passion for giving back to his
community. He can be found in a
different kind of court every summer when he and Gersowitz, Libo, and Korek,
P.C. sponsor the Gardiner Memorial Basketball Classic in the Bronx, an event
that awards multiple scholarships to college-bound students.
