Mr. Edwards represents contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers, and condominium and homeowner associations in all aspects of the construction process. He has significant experience in design and construction contract preparation and claim resolution in litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Mr. Edwards' experience in dispute resolution includes representing clients involved in building, power and infrastructure projects in claims arising from design defects, defective work, disputed changes, differing site conditions, delay, inefficiency, disruption, performance guarantees, and other design and construction-related matters.
In addition, Mr. Edwards handles procurement matters before various governmental agencies and boards of contract appeals, including bid protests and claims.
An experienced trial lawyer, Mr. Edwards represents both individual and corporate fiduciaries and beneficiaries in fiduciary litigation arising from estate and trust administration as well as businesses and individuals in corporate, personal and employment-related litigation in federal and state courts in Maryland and in the mid-Atlantic region.
Mr. Edwards has successfully completed both the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution's Arbitration Training Institute and the 40-hour program, Essential Skills for the New Mediator, presented by the American Arbitration Association. Mr. Edwards serves as a neutral in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Mr. Edwards is active in many professional organizations and takes a lead role in a number of community activities. He is on the Board of Directors of the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, chaired the building committee for the construction of a $1.6 million Worship Center for St. Francis de Sales Church in Abingdon, Md., served on the State of Maryland Task Force on Common Ownership Communities, and is a graduate of the Harford Leadership Academy sponsored by the Harford County Chamber of Commerce.
