James Cai, J.D., served as in-house legal counsel for Yahoo! Inc. His focuses his practice on corporate and business law, intellectual property, advising international business clients that are starting up or expanding their operation in the United States. He has served as outside general counsel for multi-national corporations to incorporate US subsidiaries, conduct mergers and acquisitions and defend them in civil lawsuits and arbitrations. Mr. Cai believes in relationship lawyering and has a client-driven practice. He practices law the old fashioned way – giving each client this full attention with prompt responses, thorough research and analysis, aggressive representation and careful attention to details. As a result, most of his clients are repeat and long term clients. He has successfully represented leading companies and non-profit organizations such as Intel, Nokia Venture, HiSense, Webex, OFO, Yulong Group, Su Zhou Industrial Park and Ballet San Jose. He also practiced law with Morrison & Foerster LLP and Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP (now known as DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary), two of the largest law firms in California. Mr. Cai holds a Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, graduating in the top 5% of his class.
