Eric Partlow joined Adams and Reese in 2010 following the firm's expansion into Florida. He is a Partner in the firm's Litigation Practice Group.
Eric has considerable experience in both federal and state courts and a proven track record of successfully handling disputes arising from a diverse range of business contexts, including products liability, premises liability and insurance defense, banking, creditor’s rights, cable/telecommunications, construction, intellectual property, trade secrets, unfair competition, real property and non-compete covenants. His experience includes defending class actions.
A portion of Eric’s practice includes representation of national clients in commercial landlord and tenant matters throughout Florida. He has represented clients at all phases of the dispute, including mediation, arbitration, trial, appeal and post-judgment recovery.
Among Eric’s accomplishments, he:
Eric is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan; United States District Court for the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida; and United States Court of Appeal for the Eleventh Circuit.
Eric received his B.A. in psychology, summa cum laude, from the University of South Florida and was salutatorian of his law school class at Stetson University College of Law.
While in law school, Eric served as a senior associate member of the Law Review. He also interned for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Jenkins, in the Middle District of Florida and the Hillsborough County State Attorney's office, where he tried a number of criminal cases before a jury under Florida’s law school practice program. He is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa.
In the community, Eric and his family volunteer with the United Way, Metropolitan Ministries and various other charitable organizations. Eric has a passion for community service in youth sports where he coached club soccer at various club throughout Hillsborough County and served as former assistant coach for the Plant High School Girls Soccer Program.
