ELLIOT H. LODEN, ESQ. formerly served as the Internal Revenue Service Estate Tax Attorney, State of Hawaii. He has served as President of the Tax Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association, President of the Hawaii Estate Planning Council and Chairman of the Western Region, Economics of Practice Section of the American Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1983, and continuously since 2001 in Honolulu Magazine as an “A+” attorney. For the past 30 years, Mr. Loden has been recognized and rated with the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standard, AV, by Martindale-Hubbell Professional Legal Ratings LLC. In 2011, U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” Rankings ranked Mr. Loden and the law firm of Loden & Conahan, LLLC the highest in Trusts and Estates Law – Hawaii, “First-Tier Metropolitan.” Mr. Loden has served as President of the Board of Directors of La Pietra Hawaii School for Girls, an all girls high school. In addition, Mr. Loden served as a senior sustaining member of the Board of Directors of Hanahau’oli School and as a past Director of the Hawaii International Film Festival. He presently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Hawaii Foundation, a trustee of the Adler Foundation and the Brennan Foundation. Mr. Loden holds the title of Ambassador at the Kapiolani Community College Culinary Arts Program and is a member of Les Amis d’Escoffier Society of Hawaii. He has instructed and lectured in the area of estate planing for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American College of Chartered Life Underwriters and has served as an adjunct professor at the William S. Richardson School of Law (University of Hawaii). He has also taught and lectured for the Chaminade Tax Institute, the Honolulu Board of Realtors, Kapiolani Community College and the Hawaii, Minnesota and Nebraska Bar Associations.
