Edward Diaz is in the firm's Litigation Section and primarily practices in the areas of Labor and Employment law. Mr. Diaz has represented numerous employers in non-compete cases and in litigation of employment discrimination claims before federal and state courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Florida Commission on Human Relations. Mr. Diaz provides counsel to employers on a wide range of issues, including management training, employment audits, drafting employment contracts, severance agreements, employment policies and handbooks, and non-competition agreements. In addition, Mr. Diaz advises clients on compliance with employment-related statutes and regulations.
Mr. Diaz has experience representing clients in a broad range of industries, including transportation, hospitality, health care, financial, higher education, professional and technology.
Within the firm, Mr. Diaz is the Hiring Partner and the Summer Associate Program Coordinator for the Miami office. Additionally, he is a member of the firm's Diversity Council, serves as the Chair of the Miami Local Office Diversity Committee, and is a member of the Fair Employment Practices Committee for the firm.
