Darby Doan is a partner with Haltom & Doan, and is licensed to practice
in state and federal courts in Texas and Arkansas. His primary areas of practice are products
liability, intellectual property, class action, pharmaceutical and personal
injury litigation. Darby has tried or
argued cases and appeals in both state and federal courts in Texas and
Arkansas. Darby is a member of the American
Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Arkansas Bar Association, the
Northeast Texas Bar Association, the Southwest Arkansas Bar Association, the
Eastern District of Texas Bar Association, the Texarkana Bar Association, and
the Texarkana Young Lawyers Association, where he was a founding member and
served as an officer from 2002-03. He is
a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the Arkansas Bar Foundation, a
member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research
Institute, the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel, and the Texas
Association of Defense Counsel. Darby
has been selected to the Texas Super
Lawyers magazine each year since 2006, and was selected to the Texas Rising
Stars list in 2006, both by Thomson Reuters.
Darby is also a Certified Public
Accountant licensed to practice in Texas and Arkansas (inactive) and is a
past-President of the Texarkana Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified
Public Accountants and Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on the Board of Directors of
the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a former member of
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of
Certified Public Accountants, and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
