Chuck Adler joined the firm in 1993 and became partner in 1995. Chuck focuses his practice on innovative estate and succession planning techniques for families and closely-held businesses. He has earned the confidence of his clients including his ability to devise creative and all-inclusive strategies for complex matters has earned him the confidence of business executives, families of substantial wealth and the owners of closely held businesses.
Chuck counsels individuals and families on
complex estate, charitable, financial and retirement planning matters;
on estate, gift and generation-skipping taxes; and on the organization
and operation of private foundations. He also counsels owners of
closely-held and family businesses on succession planning.
His experience as both attorney and CPA (Ohio, Inactive) has enabled Chuck to build a reputation for excellent work product, thoughtful strategies and a client-centered service style.
Before joining the firm in 1993, Chuck was an associate attorney with
Thompson Hine and Flory (1985-1992), and a senior accountant with Price
Waterhouse (1983-1985). Chuck is certified by the Ohio State Bar
Association as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law.
He is admitted to practice law in both Ohio and Florida.
Chuck is active in his profession and is a member of a variety of groups and association, including serving as the President of the Cleveland Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He is a member and Former Trustee of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland. He believes that it is important to give back to the community, and has served as a Trustee of the Alzheimer's Association and Catholic
Charities. He serves as Trustee of the Frederick W. and Janet P. Dorn
Foundation and is a class agent for the St. Ignatius High School Alumni
Currently he is a member of the Estate Planning Advisory Council for Cleveland State University and the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center.
