Charlie Cerise joined Adams and Reese in 1999 and has been practicing in the areas of maritime, toxic tort, environmental contamination, contracts, casualty, insurance and products liability litigation since 1983. Charlie also litigates offshore energy cases, including complex limitation of liability actions, and handles environmental contamination and exposure cases in both single and multi-party settings.
In addition to his seasoned litigation skills, Charlie is actively involved in firm management. He currently serves as one of the firm’s four litigation practice group leaders, with responsibility for litigation administration and practice management in all offices of the firm. He previously has served as liaison partner to the firm associates and as a partner-in-charge of the New Orleans office. He was named by New Orleans CityBusiness as a "Leadership in Law" recipient in 2006.

Charlie graduated third in his law school class and has served as co-author of the admiralty section of the Fifth Circuit Symposium of the Loyola Law Review (1989 and 1996). Charlie is actively involved in the Firm’s HUGS Program and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the United Way of Southeast Louisiana. When he’s not in the office, he’s often found spending time with his family and being involved in the community.
