Mr. Dalton has been in private practice since
1987. In 2000, he founded Dalton & Associates, P.A. specializing in the
areas of Personal Injury, Plaintiff Medical Malpractice, Product Liability,
Clergy Sex Abuse, Mass Tort and General Litigation. In 2004, Mr. Dalton became
a fellow the American College of Trail Lawyers. Since 2009, he has served as
ACTL’s Regent for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. He has been named to
Best Lawyers in Delaware for 20 straight years and was named Best Lawyer in
Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury (Delaware) from 2009-2012.
Mr. Dalton graduated from St. Joseph’s College (now St.
Joseph’s University) in Philadelphia, PA with a BA in political science. He
then graduated from the University of Tulsa Law School in 1977. Returning to
the East Coast, he moved to Delaware and served as Deputy Attorney General in
Wilmington, DE from 1977 to 1981. In his time as Deputy AG, he spent time in
Juvenile/Family Court, the Trial Division and the Rape Unit. After leaving the
DOJ for private practice in 1981 as an Associate at Brandt & Benson, P.A.,
he returned to the DOJ as Chief Deputy Attorney General in 1983. He left in
1987 to co-found Brandt & Dalton. Brandt & Dalton later became Dalton
& Associates, P.A. in 2000 and subsequently moved into the Cool Spring
Meeting House at 10th and Harrison Streets in Wilmington.
