Alison C. Weinger is the President of Conflict Management Solutions Inc. and has
successfully mediated over five thousand (5,000) civil and family cases. Alison
has had a full-time mediation practice for over 30 years, focusing primarily on
family matters as well as family business disputes. She is Florida Supreme
Court Certified in Circuit Court and Family law mediation. She is a graduate of
the University of Wisconsin-Madison (BA 1977) and the University of Miami Law
School (JD 1980). She taught as an Adjunct
Professor at the University of Miami Law School, training prospective lawyers
in a skills based family law mediation course.
Alison
began her career as a litigator in a civil trial practice. She embraced
alternative dispute resolution when it was in its infancy and began her
mediation career at the in-house mediation unit of the Miami-Dade County
Courthouse. She has been in private practice for almost 30 years working solely
in the dispute resolution field. Ms.
Weinger has been active in the community, serving as President of the Dade
County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers early in her
career, and as a member of the Human Rights Committee for Sunrise Community
where she received the “Award of Excellence” in providing assistance to persons
with disabilities. Alison has been a member of the First Family Law Inns of
Court, and the Family Law and Dispute Resolution sections of the America Bar
Association and Florida Bar, where she has served on the Mediation Committee.
Alison
has lectured internationally as well as locally on dispute resolution for the
American Bar Association, the American Arbitration Association, Lorman
Seminars, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and numerous voluntary
Bar Organizations. Ms. Weinger is an AV rated lawyer with Martindale Hubbell.
