Alexander (Alex) P. Ott focuses his practice on litigating complex patent disputes and representing clients in a variety of high technology industries, including the semiconductor, consumer electronics, telecommunications, pharmaceutical and software industries. He is a registered patent attorney with significant experience in patent prosecution matters. Alex has represented clients in federal district courts, in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings at the US Patent and Trademark Office, in Section 337 investigations before the US International Trade Commission (ITC), and before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Alex earned his BS in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and his JD from Tulane University School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Tulane Law Review. He also interned for the US Department of the Interior, Office of the Solicitor, and was a law clerk for Southeast Louisiana Legal Services, a pro bono legal aid organization.
