Zach Warzel dedicates his practice to representing injured clients in complex personal injury cases and policyholders in disputes with their insurers. Zach has successfully tried insurance bad faith and personal injury cases in Colorado, notably obtaining a $4.8 million jury verdict against a supplemental health insurance company and a $2.2 million jury verdict against a liability insurance carrier.
He has also argued cases before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Other highlights include Zach’s involvement in numerous institutional child abuse cases, as well as an aviation crash, a premises liability case, and brain injury cases, resulting in multi-million dollar settlements for his clients.
Zach has been recognized as a Best Lawyer in America in the area of insurance law, a Rising Star Attorney by Colorado Super Lawyers, and as one of the Top 40 Trial Lawyers under 40 and one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Colorado by The National Trial Lawyers Association.
Zach is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, where he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Environmental Law. While attending law school, Zach was the development associate and law clerk at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in Manhattan. He also served as a summer associate at Kreitzman Mortensen Simon & Irgang, a labor and employment law firm in Manhattan.
Outside of the office, Zach serves as chairperson of the Insurance Bad Faith Committee for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, and he is an active participant of the University of Denver College of Law’s Student Mentor program.
