Tim Currier is recognized as one of the leading experts in School and Municipal law in the State of Michigan. Tim has represented a number of public and private clients in labor, employment and construction law matters. He is the Birmingham City Attorney and also represents the Birmingham Area Cable Board, the Intergovernmental Cable Communications Authority and the Bloomfield Village Association.
Tim also represents school district clients on various matters, including grievances, labor arbitration and teacher tenure matters. He has extensive experience representing school districts with respect to student discipline, real estate transactions, civil rights and wrongful discharge matters, election procedures (including recall elections), municipal finance, intergovernmental relations, special education, environmental issues and construction litigation. He is the attorney for Dearborn Public Schools and also represents Lapeer Area Community Schools, Lincoln Consolidated Schools and Troy School District.
Tim serves as an arbitrator for FINRA (Financial Regulatory Authority), and he is a certified construction arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
Tim holds the prestigious honor of being named Distinguished Municipal Attorney of the Year in 2012 by the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys. He was also named “Lawyer of the Year” in 2015 by Best Lawyers in America.
