Mr. Crowley has over 15 years of experience and is a member of the firm. He has represented a wide range of clients in workers’ compensation defense, insurance defense, civil litigation, subrogation and toxic torts in Illinois and recently in Colorado. He has extensive experience successfully representing self-insured employers, uninsured employers, and insurance carriers in all aspects of workers’ compensation claims including, but not limited to, full contested claims, penalty issues, medical benefit claims, death claims, dependent benefits, permanent total disability, subrogation matters and insurance defense of first- and third- party claims, and bad faith property damage cases.
Mr. Crowley has also represented municipal governments in the greater Rockford, IL area, including drafting ordinances, resolutions and intergovernmental agreements. He also reviewed and updated zoning codes and land use plans, as well as representing governing boards in various commission hearings and procedures.
Mr. Crowley graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He received his juris doctorate from Northern Illinois University College of Law, and concurrently earned his Master of Public Administration degree from the Northern Illinois University Graduate School.
Mr. Crowley has authored several articles relating to defending workers’ compensation claims in Illinois, and has spoken to groups of adjusters, employers, and fellow bar members on workers’ compensation issues in Illinois.
