What do you focus on?
I represent health care industry clients in the following areas:
Strategic Transactions
I advise health care providers on strategic issues and provide legal counsel to guide them in executing their strategies. I help them to achieve growth through mergers, joint ventures and the development of new facilities.
Health Care Finance
I represent health care providers and lenders in large bond financings, acting as borrower’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel on these transactions. I also advise clients on the bond-related issues that can arise from corporate restructurings, acquisitions and dispositions. Recently we represented the underwriters of a $500-million bond issue on behalf of a large academic medical center.
General Counsel
Acting as outside general counsel, I help health care providers manage their full range of ongoing legal issues. I work with teams of attorneys to advise providers on compliance, corporate tax, government advocacy and other legal issues they need to address in running their businesses.
