Stephen Katz is a partner and chair of the Corporate Law practice. He represents both public and privately held companies in all matters of corporate law. Stephen’s background includes mergers, acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, venture capital, securities regulation, formation and organization of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, joint venture agreements, licensing, corporate governance and general commercial agreements.

Stephen has also represented a vast array of clients, including national and regional investment banks, publicly traded companies, venture capital investors, start up and middle stage technology companies, nationally recognized apparel manufacturers, hedge funds, corporate executives and entrepreneurs.
Stephen has also represented numerous foreign companies looking to establish operations or acquire companies in the United States.
Stephen is the co-chair of the Securities Law Division of the Business Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He has lectured and made numerous presentations on securities law and corporate topics to audiences of other professions, in house counsel, Fortune 500 companies, investment banks, clients and business owners.
Stephen is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Stephen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and his law degree from Fordham University School of Law.
