Robert P. Noell is a member of the firm and his primary area of practice is construction law. Mr. Noell has extensive experience in representing owners/developers, general contractors, subcontractors and specialty contractors in the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, and the preparation and resolution of contract and lien claims. His clients are engaged in commercial, industrial, institutional, and high-end residential projects. Mr. Noell is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in construction law and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tennessee College of Engineering where he teaches construction law.
Mr. Noell was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, a M.S. from the University of Memphis and a J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Forum on the Construction Industry of the American Bar Association, the Associated General Contractors (where he has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Knoxville Branch), the Associated Builders and Contractors, and the Construction Leadership Council (where he has been appointed to its Steering Committee). Mr. Noell is a founding member of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel and has been elected to serve on its Executive Committee.
