In recent years, my practice has been heavily focused on the development, financing and construction of electric infrastructure projects, particularly base-load generation and transmission facilities.Electric Transmission Facilities
I have represented or am currently representing developers of new electric transmission facilities in New York, New Jersey, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, California and Hawaii. I am involved in the negotiation of the commercial contracts needed for these projects as well as the regulatory approvals. I represented Trans Bay Cable LLC, one of the first independent transmission projects in the country, from the initial planning until the project’s commercial operation in 2010.Electric Generation Facilities
I have negotiated a wide variety of commercial contracts (EPC agreements, equipment purchase agreements, O&M agreements, etc.) for electric generation projects, including both new generation as well as environmental retrofits on existing generation. For example, I negotiated the agreements for the purchase of the boilers, turbines and air quality control systems for Prairie State Generating Company, LLC, a two-unit 1,600 MW coal-fired facility now in operation in central Illinois.
