Dick Young's years of experience enable him to handle litigation matters
for a variety of clients in an experienced, practical, and efficient
manner. Dick has been recognized by his peers with several awards over
the years, signifying his ability to interact with opposing counsel in a
civil and ethical manner while working to resolve client's legal
disputes. These awards include the Indiana State Bar Association
Civility Award, being named a Diplomat of the Indiana Defense Trial
Counsel, becoming a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar
Association, and being selected for inclusion in Indiana Super Lawyers®.
He currently focuses his practice on transportation, premises
liability, product liability, professional liability, and general
insurance defense. Alternative dispute resolution is another focus of
Dick's practice, using his litigation experience to mediate legal
disputes.
Dick has been with the firm for over 35 years,
starting as an investigator and a law clerk before becoming an attorney.
He is currently chair of the firm's Management Committee. He has also
been active in organizations such as the Federation of Defense and
Corporate Counsel (FDCC), the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA),
and the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA.)
