Ray is a registered patent attorney, partner in the Health Sciences Department and is head of the Troutman Pepper Health Sciences IP Group. Ray’s clients include private equity and venture capital funds, emerging biotechnology firms, world-class medical and research facilities and Fortune 500 companies with well-developed intellectual property portfolios.
Ray applies his deep understanding of the life and material sciences in a diverse range of industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, energy, manufacturing, computer hardware, water and air purification, and specialty plastics and chemicals. His experience in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology extends to the wider spectrum of related disciplines such as medicinal and surface chemistry, genetics, nutraceuticals, proteomics, nanotechnology and tissue engineering.

He has successfully created commercialization pathways for clients in the pharmaceutical, biologics, cosmetic, dermatological, nutraceutical and medical device sectors.
