Ralph W. Shaw is an attorney who specializes in taxation and ERISA (the primary law governing the operation of retirement and welfare benefit plans). He earned his B.S. in Business from the University of Northern Colorado with emphasis in small business management. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver School of Law. A practice focusing on retirement plans and other related benefits led to the acquisition of REPTECH in 1991 which was sold to a national firm in 2008. The current practice emphasizes work with small business owners on their retirement and welfare benefit plans as well as integrating these plans into their estate plans. Ralph has experience with all kinds of retirement plans including 401(k), cross-tested profit sharing, traditional and cash balance defined benefit plans, ESOP, 403(b), 457, and plans sponsored by governmental entities. He has worked with a variety of governmental entities from school districts to hospitals, and with every kind of small business and professional organization.
