Patrick C. McDonnell is an associate attorney with Michaelson & Associates. His practice primarily includes general civil and commercial litigation in Nevada’s state and federal courts.Formerly an award-winning investigative newspaper reporter and editor, Patrick graduated cum laude from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. While at Boyd, he was on the Dean’s Honor List and was the lead articles editor for the Nevada Law Journal. He was also honored with the Carl W. Tobias Award for Excellence in Writing, and has won CALI awards for earning the highest grades in his Pretrial Litigation, Criminal Procedure-Adjudication, and Settling Legal Disputes courses. While still in law school, Patrick gained his initial experience in the field as a mediator and as a full-time summer extern for Eighth Judicial District Court Judge Kenneth C. Cory where he effectively served as an assistant law clerk to the judge. Patrick also worked as a law clerk for a local personal injury firm, a national trial firm, and a general civil practice firm before being licensed to practice law in Nevada and handling all types of civil litigation and commercial litigation.
