Patrick A. Salvi II
Patrick A. Salvi II joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., in 2007 and was named Managing Partner of the Chicago office in 2017. He concentrates his legal practice on cases concerning personal injury, medical malpractice, mass torts, and product liability.
Mr. Salvi has obtained many record-breaking jury verdicts on behalf of his clients. The following are cases he has tried to verdict:
- $148 million for a paralyzed 24-year-old female
- $50.3 million for a boy who suffered a serious brain injury at birth
- $33.2 million on behalf of a young man paralyzed in a motor vehicle collision
- $29.1 million on behalf of an infant who suffered a brain injury
- $15.2 million for a 30-year-old male who suffered a crush injury to his foot
- $12.7 million for a 47-year-old female with spinal cord injury
- $11.25 million for the wrongful death of a 33-year-old single mother of an 8-year-old son
Mr. Salvi has also successfully obtained a number of multi-million-dollar settlements, including:
- $25 million for an infant who suffered a brain injury at birth
- $20.6 million for a man left paralyzed after a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of a ruptured aneurysm
- $19.5 million for a war veteran who suffered a crush injury to his foot
- $19.5 million for a man brain damaged after a failed routine trach exchange
- $15 million for a motorcyclist who lost his leg in a car crash
- $14.85 million for a woman left permanently blind after a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of a clot in her brain
- $14 million for a woman injured in a car accident
- $10 million for a man who lost his foot in a workplace accident
- $8 million for an infant who suffered a brain injury at birth
- $7.25 million for the wrongful death of a man who died during a blood transfusion
- $6 million for an infant who suffered a brain injury at birth$5.7 million for a man who suffered a severe foot laceration in a forklift incident
- $5.5 million for a man who suffered orthopedic injuries in a truck collision
- $5 million for a child who suffered a brain injury at birth due to a delayed C-section
- $5 million settlement for a young woman who suffered a brain injury and ultimately died following a neuroendovascular procedure
- $4.5 million for a man injured after falling from a balcony (the largest porch collapse settlement in Illinois history)
- $4.5 million for a woman brain damaged after a bariatric surgery
In recognition for his outstanding legal work, Mr. Salvi has been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers List since 2014 and was selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2012 and 2013. In 2019, he was recognized as a Leading Lawyer by Law Bulletin Media, a distinction given to less than five percent of all lawyers licensed to practice in Illinois. Every year since 2017, he has been listed in Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Lawyers in America, an elite guide in the legal profession. In addition, Mr. Salvi has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Personal Injury Litigation and Medical Malpractice Law.

After he received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Mr. Salvi earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. As a law school student, Mr. Salvi won an award for excellence in trial advocacy from the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Salvi is a member of the American Association for Justice, where he sits on the Board of Governors and the AAJ PAC Board of Trustees. He is also an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, where he sits on the executive committee, is a co-chair of the publications committee, and a co-author of the Medical Malpractice Trial Notebook chapter on Informed Consent. He has been a judge at ABA and AAJ trial competitions, as well as ABA Moot Court competitions. In addition, Mr. Salvi holds memberships in the Lake County Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association, where he is a member of the Tort Law Committee.
Mr. Salvi is a board member of Legal Aid Chicago, an organization that provides free legal services to people living in poverty. Mr. Salvi has also been a speaker at Kellogg’s School of Management’s MBA business law class and at Notre Dame Law School’s “Personal Injury Litigation” class.
