Patricia Clotfelter, shareholder in the Birmingham office, concentrates her practice in the area of commercial litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property and mortgage services. She has extensive experience litigating in state and federal courts in a variety of jurisdictions in and outside of Alabama. Her experience includes representation of numerous clients in trademark, copyright, trade secret and patent infringement disputes in fields as diverse as computer software development, data mining, industrial coatings, banking, advertising, big game hunting and restaurant operation. She has litigated in federal courts from Los Angeles, California, to Detroit Michigan, to Jacksonville, Florida.
In addition, Ms. Clotfelter taught trial skills as an adjunct professor at Cumberland School of Law for many years and currently is active in helping to train Baker Donelson associates in the art of litigation. She is a frequent lecturer on litigation topics, including all aspects of intellectual property.
