Page A. Pate is an accomplished trial lawyer dedicated to defending people facing serious federal criminal charges in courts across the United States, serious state charges in Georgia and assisting clients in whistleblower matters.
Mr. Pate graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University and received the Phi Beta Kappa scholarship award for graduating in the top 10 percent. He went on to graduate cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Pate was elected into the Order of Barristers and was the top advocate in his school's moot court competitions.
Mr. Pate is admitted to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 4th, 5th, 7th and 11th Circuits; the Supreme Court of Georgia; and the Court of Appeals of Georgia.As an accomplished trial lawyer, Mr. Pate has received the highest rating of AV-Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell, and has been recognized for several years as an elite lawyer by Georgia Trend Magazine. Recently, he was included in the nationally renowned Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and named a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers.
A founding member of the Georgia Innocence Project, Mr. Pate is dedicated to protecting the rights of his clients. He is also an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. Pate is frequently quoted by local and national media and currently serves as a Legal Analyst for CNN and WABE (Atlanta's NPR affiliate).
