Working strategically with clients to achieve their goals, Ms. Burton represents creditors, asset purchasers, debtors, committees, trustees, and receivers in bankruptcy and receivership cases. Ms. Burton has handled numerous trials on fraudulent and preferential transfers, claims objections, motions for relief from stay, and plan confirmations and bankruptcy appeals, both on the prosecution and defense side. She has extensive experience representing borrowers and lenders in out-of-bankruptcy-court workouts.
A Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy, Ms. Burton has an established reputation in the restructuring community for integrity, credibility and hard work. With more than 30 years of experience, Ms. Burton has participated in a number of significant bankruptcy and receivership cases in Utah, Nevada, and throughout the U.S.
Clients have utilized Ms. Burton's expertise in a number of industry contexts, including real estate, technology, telecommunications, mining, manufacturing, transportation, retail, real estate operations and development, health and retirement care, agriculture, and more.
