Michael McBride is an intellectual property lawyer who focuses primarily on patent litigation and patent prosecution matters. Trained as an electrical engineer, his patent litigation cases have included semiconductor manufacturing and transistor design, flash memory controllers, fiber-optic networks, digital video compression and processing and CMOS image sensors.
He has also prosecuted patent applications involving both hardware and software, aerospace, and upstream oil & gas technologies. Before law school, Mr. McBride worked in the product engineering group of Fujitsu-AMD Semiconductor LLC at its flash memory fabrication facility in Austin, Texas.
Mr. McBride earned his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law with honors and his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering also from UT. Mr. McBride served as a law clerk to the U.S. District Judge Hayden Head of the U.S. Southern District of Texas. He also worked as a volunteer prosecutor for Houston's municipal courts.
Mr. McBride has been recognized by Texas Rising Stars from 2016-2018, an bestowed on just 2.5 percent of eligible lawyers in the state who are 40 or younger or have practiced no more than 10 years.
