Michael Stern prepares patent applications in the mechanical and software arts for domestic and foreign clients. His practice includes patent prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and advisory instructions for foreign agents filing with foreign patent offices. Michael also focuses on clearance and patentability opinion work. Representative technologies include jet turbines, online software systems, electronic marketing analytics, locomotive drive algorithms, lubrication and fuel schedules, aerodynamic fairings, automotive and engine components, medical devices, oil and gas technologies, laser alignment tools, athletic equipment, hydraulics and industrial manufacturing processes.
While in law school, Michael served as associate editor of the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. He earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering science and economics.
