Meade Whitaker is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. His primary practice focus is commercial real estate, including the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and sale of commercial real estate projects. He represents developers and owners of all types of commercial real estate projects, and he represents lenders in the financing of such projects. He also represents lenders in the sale and disposition of special asset loans that are secured by real estate. Meade regularly works with the firm’s corporate and bankruptcy attorneys in handling the real estate aspects of major corporate acquisitions, sales and mergers, and corporate reorganizations, financings, restructurings and exit financings.
His practice also includes general business and commercial law, and he regularly renders legal opinions in financing transactions. He has extensive prior experience in public finance, particularly industrial revenue bonds, and in health care law and construction law.
