Mark Melendy joined Sheehey Furlong & Behm in 2016 and is a principal of the firm. Mark’s practice focuses largely on corporate services, mergers and acquisitions, business succession planning, estates and trusts and tax planning. After law school Mark served as a Federal Clerk to the Honorable Franklin S. Billings, Jr., U.S. District Court, followed by work as an associate in the corporate departments of two large international law firms, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Following his relocation to Vermont he become a principal at Kristensen, Cummings, Phillips, Carroll, and Melendy, P.C.in Brattleboro, Vermont and subsequently Whittington, Melendy & Girdwood, P.C. in Hanover, NH and Woodstock, Vermont, before forming his own firm in 2003. Mark has attained an AV (Preeminent/Very High Ethical Standards) Martindale-Hubbell peer-review rating.
